Porto Ottiolu

Porto Ottiolu ist ein bezauberndes Dorf in der gleichnamigen Bucht im südöstlichen Teil der Gallura, auf halbem Weg zwischen S. Teodoro und Budoni.

Sein Hafen ist einer der am besten ausgestatteten in ganz Sardinien, der mehr als 400 Anlegestellen für Boote hat und eine windgeschützte Lage besitzt, die für alle Arten von Schiffen ideal ist.


Hinter dem Hafen liegt das bewohnte Ortszentrum, mit einem charakteristischen kleinen Platz, wo bis spät am Abend Bars, Restaurants, Supermärkte, Boutiquen und weitere Läden geöffnet haben.


Porto Ottiolu ist auch bekannt für seine prächtigen Strände, darunter die schöne Cala Ottiolu, die sich auszeichnet durch feinen weißen Sand, einen flachen Meeresboden und unglaublich klares Wasser. Auf diesem Strand gibt es viele Service-Angebote, u.a. einen Parkplatz, eine Rampe für Körperbehinderte, einen Verleih von Sonnenschirmen und Liegestühlen, sowie Imbiss-Stände.


Nicht weit entfernt davon befindet sich der Strand Li Cucutti, der zwischen den kleinen Inseln Ottiolu und Punta Li Cucutti liegt; es handelt sich um einen breiten Küstenstreifen mit weißem Sand, hinter dem ein üppiger Pinienwald liegt, ein idealer Rückzugsort an heißen Tagen. Das blaue Wasser, mit intensiven türkisfarbenen Schattierungen, kontrastiert mit dem hellen Weiß des Sandes und dem Grün der Vegetation, was für eine karibische Atmosphäre sorgt. Auch dieser Strand ist ausgestattet für Körperbehinderte und besitzt mehrere Service-Angebote, darunter Imbiss-Stände und Verleihstellen für Sonnenschirme, Liegen und Tretboote.


Die privilegierte Lage von Porto Ottiolu ermöglicht es den Touristen, von dort aus leicht andere bekannte Badeorte zu erreichen, darunter Budoni, S. Teodoro, die Insel Tavolara und die Insel Molara, was aus dieser Ortschaft einen idealen Ausgangspunkt macht, um einen der faszinierendsten Küstenabschnitte von ganz Sardinien zu erleben.
